On Saturday the 26th the 6th Traditional Christmas Charity Market took place gathering a big number of people in the second floor of the usual venue, the Shangri la Hotel, here in Changchun.
A series of booths were decorated for the occasion, some of the shops offered cakes, drinks, sweets, ice cream and bakery products, as well as others sold various items such as Christmas cards, teddy bears, clothing, and brick and brack goods.

Thanks to Kenny, a manager in the Shang, who helped us joining and covering the event.
Shangri la Hotel, the host of the event also put on display top quality food and drinks for participants and visitors delight.
Amongst the participants we can mention several local international, schools such as Raffles Design Institute, ME School, English First, the American School; also the German community was present with the German Villa and the German School.

Families and friends had great time together
Of Course changchunlive.net was also present offering the -by today- super trendy “I love Changchun” tee shirt to wear and show off during this winter.

These lovely ladies performanced an unplugged version of a very famous Chinese Song
Besides the delicacies participants brought to the Charity Market, several performances took place. Christmas carols, pop dance, and traditional Chinese music were part of the program that entertained visitors form all ages.

All the proceeds collected during the day will be destined to the “Quan Yan County Poverty Alleviation Projects”.

The attendance to the event has demonstrated how important community is to the city.

Proactive participation from individuals and organisations such as the German Community, Changchunfriends and Changchunlive make all of us proud to be part of our city, Changchun, recently branded by a panel of experts in meteorology as “the sunshine capital of China”.
