When something like this is said with such sincerity, and earnestness, you believe it. When Happy came to Changchun ten years ago, everything he owned was in his backpack. Ten years later, he has a Happy Home he wishes to share with everyone.

Cold, cheap beers at ¥8 a glass is a good way to keep people happy. For the cocktail lovers, he's assembled the most experienced barmen in Changchun – and they all speak English. The cocktail we sampled was fantastic – cold, sweet and alcoholic, perfect for a steamy Summer's night. It was amateurish not to write its name down, but we were all too happy to care.

It's also an entertainment venue. It's already hosted some Changchunfriends events, like the rock party and Wednesday night Jazz nights. For those who prefer a quiet beer (or Gin and Tonic) in front of the television, the English Premier League, cricket, american football, baseball and basketball will be broadcast on his very large screen and televisions.

A food menu is being developed, and will be available within a few weeks.

The Happy Home has quickly become one of Changchun's favourite venues. A visit and cocktail is recommended, You'll find Happy, Ram, and staff very friendly and welcoming, and indeed, it is a Happy Home
