Who: Cynthia, the novelist.
When: November 11th--Chinese Single’s Day.
Where: Maili Cafe.

                                

Still facing the computer screen, knocking away at the keyboard,
she is writing her novel: “Dream Palace”.
For her, it has been ages in this coffee shop, in the same seat,
in the same posture, writing the same novel.

We asked her why she keeps this vigil;
the answer she gave  is very simple.
She is writing a novel while awaiting Mr. Right.
They encountered each other here several times, but these days, he never appears.
She says,
the novel is her narrative.
If the novel comes to the end,
and he still has  not appeared, she will wait no longer.

Until the end,
we can only look forward to the return of the man in the novel,
and with his turning up, the perfect ending of the novel.
