This little street has potential. Discovered as CCL's intrepid explorers made there way to Wanda.

Not quite traditional Sichuan food, but its spicy, and its outdoors.

A great place for summer evenings, cold beer, spicy seafood, and bbq.

If you have a Papa's...you gotta hava Mama's!

Part of the Papa's chain, Mama's more of a traditional Korean BBQ, rather than laid back atmosphere.

Location: Corner of Goongnong Dalu and Longli Lu

Up near Ouya, this is one of the many Western/Korean style restaurants. Very atmospheric. One of the few restaurants in Changchun where you can have a quiet, romantic meal.

The simplicity of its systems is the beauty of this Korean BBQ, opposite Changchun University Weixing Lu, just get a couple of plates, walk around the fridges and stands and grab by yourself whatever you fancy eating. The staff will set up an electrical grill on your table so that anything you eat will be cooked in front of your very eyes (by yourself of course).

The selection is massive, from meat, poultry, fish and vegetables, to salads, rice bread and more.

There is a happy hour before 5 pm, hence beer is for free, yet after the happy hour beer is still cheap 4 quai for a bottle [ unfortunately beer is room temperature, but still worth to try this place]

Prices are very good and I also found there are some Changchun University students doing part time jobs there, so they speak good English.

There is no menu, and smoking inside the premises is not allowed anymore.

Again, worth trying.!

*Update: You need to go upstairs to the third floor to find the restaurant, there is a waitress on the first floor she will take you there.

Papa's is a Korean restaurant chain with several branches across Changchun. This one in this review is located opposite Changchun University Campus, on Weixing Lu. Nanguan area.

Papa's offers a huge variety of food and salads (this is a big plus). The restaurant inside is very clean and comfortable, staff are friendly and service is very good. Of course Papa's is not as cheap as the current Korean or Chinese local places but its not extremely expensive either.

Beer pitchers and English menu are available.

This Korean is well located on Guilin Lu near Tongzhi Jie

Outdoor restaurants in the city are rare and the number of days to eat out are few. So when you find an inner city - outer eating place, you accept it pros and cons. Welcome to a new concept in eating - BBQ and carpark. Some people may not appreciate having to move their table while a car backs out, but after a few beers, you get used to it.

Location: In an alley between Guilin Hutong and Xikang Lu and Lixin Jie and Baihui Jie

This Korean BBQ is on Lixin Jie between Guilin Hutong and Xikang Lu. The Korean Crispy Chicken is recommended

This is a nice outdoor BBQ on Mudan Jie near Guilin Lu. You can order baked potatoes, but you need to bring your own butter.

Authentic Teppanyaki style restaurant on Guilin Lu. Chefs cook in front of you a wide selection of meats, seafood and vegetables.

Definitely an experience to try.
